Tel Aviv Fashion Week (TLVFW) is the biggest and most important industry event in Israel. After a hiatus of over 30 years, TLVFW was resuscitated by Ofir Lev, general manager of Israel’s Fashion & Textile Association in 2011. TLVFW featured renowned and up and coming Israeli designers, as well as international fashion design celebrity Roberto Cavalli. First Edition of Tel Aviv Fashion Week, was organized by Lev Management Group, ARH Production, and Israel Textile and Fashion Association, supported by Kenion Ramat Avivand Miri Havas. Fashion shows, an after-party, a contest for young designers in collaboration with the Israel Textile and Fashion Association together with a committee of fashion experts. It began with a handshake between Italy and Israel over a partnership agreement signed by Mr. Mario Boselli, President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, and Mr. Ofir Lev, head of the Tel Aviv Fashion Week, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Israel, Luigi Mattiolo. The event drew massive media around the globe with the top fashion publications flying from all over the world to report about the newest trends and developments in the Israeli fashion scene. TLVFW2011 was supported by various governmental organizations and received sponsorships by leading companies in the textile, automobile, beverage and other industries.
