Fashion Space Gallery
The London College of Fashion,
Jean Paul Gaultier: Be My Guest is a satellite exhibition at Fashion Space Gallery, London College of Fashion, presenting Jean Paul Gaultier’s graphic design work for the first time. The exhibition will feature imagery created by the designer from the 1980s to now, including the couturier’s unique and dynamic designs for invitations to haute couture and prêt-à-porter shows, as well as his iconic advertising campaigns.
The imagery traces a trajectory through the evolution of his work and reveals the themes and concepts which led to his long-standing reputation as fashion’s enfant terrible.
Jean Paul Gaultier: Be My Guest will be the first exhibition from Fashion Space Gallery’s new exhibitions and events programme, devised by its new director Ligaya Salazar.
The exhibition is a collaboration between London College of Fashion, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts,Maison Jean Paul Gaultier, Paris in co-operation with Barbican Art Gallery, and is curated by Alison Moloney and Curator Thierry-Maxime Loriot.
